Role overview
IR Labs is building a strong, multidisciplinary business-development team to support its growth in India’s rapidly expanding semiconductor and electronics ecosystem.
We are looking for bright, energetic and commercially driven professionals with experience in one or more areas of microelectronics, semiconductors, electronic components, embedded systems, electronics manufacturing or technology-led business development.
We recognize that a single individual may not possess expertise across every technology, market and commercial function. We are therefore hiring horizontally and welcome candidates with distinct but complementary strengths — whether in semiconductor sales, customer acquisition, design-win development, key-account management, government and PSU engagement, ecosystem partnerships, or market development.
Selected professionals will work closely with IR Labs’ technical, product and leadership teams to identify opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships and convert market requirements into sustainable business.
Key responsibilities
- Pipeline generation & account strategy: identify, engage, and qualify new business opportunities across key growth verticals: Automotive (EV/ADAS), Industrial IoT, Consumer Electronics, Telecom/5G infrastructure, and Defense/Aerospace.
- Design-win execution: partner closely with Field Application Engineers (FAEs) and customer R&D/system architects to position products early in the design cycle, steering opportunities from architecture definition to production volume.
- Ecosystem & partner engagement: build strategic relationships across India’s semiconductor ecosystem, including design houses, EMS players, distributors, and research institutions.
- Market & policy alignment: monitor local regulatory and incentive landscapes (DLI schemes and government initiatives such as ISM, PLI, and SPECS) to align commercial proposals with regional subsidies and local manufacturing mandates.
- Commercial negotiation: lead contract negotiations, pricing strategy, volume forecasting, and supply agreement execution to protect margins while driving adoption.
Qualifications & requirements
- Education
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or related field.
- Experience
- Technical sales or business development experience within the semiconductor, microelectronics, or electronic components industry.
- Industry knowledge
- Understanding of ICs, discrete semiconductors, power electronics, MCUs/SoCs, or packaging/foundry services. Knowledge of the market and a contact list of potential partners will be an advantage.
- Travel
- Willingness to travel regionally for customer visits and industry events.
Core competencies
- Consultative selling: ability to translate complex microelectronic specifications into business value propositions for executive stakeholders.
- Communication: fluency in English; working proficiency in Hindi or relevant regional languages (e.g. Kannada, Tamil) is beneficial.
